据东莞新冠肺炎定点收治医院——东莞市第九人民医院专家组透露，东莞在院本土新冠肺炎阳性病例预计本月可以清零。
Since the first positive COVID-19 case was reported on February 24 in this round of the recent epidemic in Dongguan, the whole city has worked together to fight the pandemic, with no covid related deaths or patients in severe condition. Dongguan No.9 People's Hospital, as the only designated hospital for the positive COVID-19 cases, has played a crucial role in overcoming the epidemic. All the positive cases are now cured and will be discharged from the hospital before May Day.
As a designated hospital for coronavirus patients, along with local cases, Dongguan No.9 People's Hospital is also responsible for receiving such patients from Heyuan, Meizhou, Shanwei and other cities. Thanks to the efforts of all medical staff, none of the positive cases turned into severe cases or deaths. Furthermore, there’s no infections acquired in hospital, or no infections found among third-party construction crews and service personnel. The hospital now only has two wards for positive cases treatment and another two for medical observation left.
A total of 946 staff have fought day and night at the frontline against epidemic to rescue the COVID-19 patients.
Since the outbreak of this round of epidemic, Dongguan Health Bureau quickly dispatched more than 770 medical practitioners and nurses and support staff from the city to provide emergency support to Dongguan No.9 People's Hospital.
